Meet our Founder and CEO
Yolanda N. Collins Stephens, M.S.Ed., SPHR, SHRM-SCP
Yolanda brings over 20 years of experience in human resources, training and organizational development and strategic planning. She is the Founder and CEO of Innovative Performance Consulting, LLC., an independent consulting firm, founded in 2009, that focuses on empowering people for excellence. She has employed her expertise in the public, private, government and educational sectors, including Miami Valley Communications Council local government agency (supporting 30 local cities), Woolpert, NCR, Aon Consulting, Dayton Public Schools, University of Dayton, Franklin University, Clark State, and Wright State University. She has developed and deployed talent management programs globally for senior level executives, managers, and individual contributors. She has also created and managed global career and leadership development, coaching and mentoring programs and currently works as an Adjunct Instructor at Franklin University in the Ross School of Business.
Yolanda specializes in “empowering and equipping individuals and organizations for excellence” by creating performance solutions that cater to individual and organizational needs. She has a special passion for creating equity and leveraging the strength of diversity and inclusion. In 2020 she worked with her local city, Huber Heights, OH, to found the Culture and Diversity Citizen Action Commission. Under her leadership, this nine-member commission acts in an advisory capacity to City Council and the City Manager to promote equal opportunity and the full exercise of civil rights for all persons without discrimination because of race, ethnicity, color, or national origin to combat discrimination, racism and other biases through education, mediation, policy, legislation, and complaint review/resolution. Yolanda consults with organizations and provides diversity, equity, and inclusion training to facilitate an inclusive, equitable, and welcoming environment for all.
In addition to diversity and inclusion she utilizes her consulting and facilitation expertise in the areas of soft skills training and employee development, leadership and management, coaching, performance management, and the DiSC personality assessment. Her audiences have included up to eight hundred participants.
Yolanda holds a Master of Science degree in Counseling from the University of Dayton and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from The Ohio State University. She holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification and a Society for Human Resources Management Senior Certified Professional (SPHR-SCP) certification. She is a certified administrator of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. She is the Chairperson for the City of Huber Heights Culture and Diversity Citizens Action Commission. She previously served as the Chairperson of the City of Huber Heights Personnel Appeals Board, Committee Chair for the Organizational Effectiveness Lecture Series at Wright State University and she served on the leadership team of the Greater Cincinnati Chapter of the Association for Talent Development. She has been a featured speaker at national, regional, and local conferences.
Yolanda resides with her family in Dayton, OH. She enjoys volunteering time with non-profit organizations.
